    Hey all,
I recently got offered a gig to fix up some live action shots of a person holding a gun, pointed at an angle. The original gun has a plug covering the muzzle and they want that replaced with a proper open-ended muzzle.

I was just wondering what workflow options I had with Cinema4d as far as tracking the gun properly. The camera is handheld (moving in 3d) and the person holding the camera is shaky/nervous, so there’s a lot of movement to account for.

I’ve done a bit of 3d motion tracking using CameraTracker in AE and importing camera data in C4d, but that was just tracking the background. I have not done any work tracking a moving object within C4d.

    Advice would be appreciated!

You’ll probably need to use 3D tracking software like Syntheyes or Boujou. They can export tracked scenes/cameras to Cinema.
