assigning object buffer to visible light
i want to be able to use the visible light from a light object in C4D as a luma matte for a video clip in after effects. is there a way to assign an object buffer to the light from a light object?
i tried rendering the light object as a separate pass in a multi-pass render, but that separate pass is translated as a light layer in after effects that does not show the visible cone of light and only where the light lands on another layer. so that didn’t work.
i tried assigning a compositing tag to a light object in C4D, but that didn’t work because the light object itself is buffered, not the light from the object.
i’m stumped.
help?i’m using C4D R12
thanks in advance, videogeeks
