    Hi,

been searching but can’t find a way to make my 3D text do the following:

    1. start with text string
    2. last few characters removed as if hitting backspace key
    3. New characters appear one by one as if typed to replace them

    Any suggestions appreciated – thanks

    DM

You can keyframe the text field of the text spline or MoText object.

Finally got back to this problem – if you’re new to C4D like me – and searching for an answer for this – I got the best result using an animated Plain Effector to reduce the scale uniformly to -1 (to obscure and reveal the text) and used basic keyframing of text parameter to change the text before a reveal.
