How to export coordinate values to a txt file?
Hello
Im looking for a way to make c4d write the x,y,z coordinate values of a nullobject into a txt file. The nullobject is animated/moves around for 5 seconds, the values must be written for each frame(30f/sec), so there should be a long row of coordinates in the txt file.
It would be nice with some advise.

Hy there,
In case you are interested in how one could write such a piece of COFFEE, I attached a simple file I created once.
It writes the frame-number, global position/rotation to a file. The output is pretty much unformatted, but with this skeleton, you can print whatever you want and you could also add commands to format it in COFFEE if you like. I normally do the formatting of the COFFEE output by a java/python script.

What do you mean by formatting the COFFE output, you mean if you want to setup the txt file in your own way? Can this also be done with EXCELL maybe?

Yes, exactly. I am sure COFFEE also has some string-formatting functions that I didn’t look up yet. With those you could output in whatever format you like.
