Hi all how do i achieve the nice soft horizon i normally get when im using standard lighting ie the top image compared with the bottom when im using GI i get the sharp black bar horizon how do i soften this up with out having to use bend deformers etc.
    Thanks Emmet

If you were trying to post images I can’t see them, but you might want to use a sky object instead of a background object, and/or use an infinite light for fill.

Hi apoligies for not attaching picture correctly here is a link
    1333_gitest.jpg.zip

Im using a sky object with a hdri image attached i have auto light turned off in my preferences and i have gi turned on. gi is top image botton image is normal.
i want to get the light blue floor to fade off into the distance similar to the bottom image. Im not sure how to use an infinite light for fill?
    Thanks Emmet

Ah, I was thinking a bit backwards. You wouldn’t want to use an infinite light there. Not sure why you want to use GI for that look, but I guess what I’d do is put a material on the floor with a gradient in the alpha channel to make it fade to black.
