  • Texture issue in Cinema 4D 12.

Posted by Javier Lopez on November 24, 2010 at 2:29 am

    Hello gentleman,

I forgot to mention that the version used here was Cinema 4D 12.

    ——————————————————————————-

I just finished an animation, but when I preview, the material that I had applied to the object also moves inside the object, can someone please post any advise on how to make the material not move inside the object?.

    Thanks in advance.

    Javier.

Most likely you need to give your object a “stick texture” tag.

    Hello Adam,

I had used the “Stick Texture” tag and all the projection options but nothing works, please take a look a the video uploaded to my profile. The logo explosion was done using the Thrausi plugin.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hello gentleman,

Thanks for the time and help, I am new to Cinema 4D, if you like I can provide the Cinema 4D file so you guys can have a better look of the settings, but this is what I’ve done.

    1. I had imported an illustrator file for the logo
    2. Applied extrude nurbs
    3. Converted to editable
    4. Connect + Delete
    5. Used Thrausi or Xbreaker pluging with standard settings
    6. Applied fracture object
    7. Applied Dynamic tag
    8. Applied texture to the fracture object, and object itself but I get the same issue with the texture.
    9. I had used the stick texture tag, different projection options but nothing works.

*I had used the texture: “molten_metal_[lead].c4d” which is part of the: “3D PORTFOLIO Vol. 1” and you can downloaded here: https://www.3dportfolio.de/.

I greatly appreciate your time and help.

The problem is that the shader you are using employs a bunch of procedural noises that are set to Raster space. Change that to UV, texture, or object space and you should be good. That will change the appearance of the shader somewhat but it can be tweaked to get it close to the original.
