building a 3D downtown landscape
Im currently building a 3D version of Downtown Dallas and wanted to see what you guys thought would be the best way to create little lights on all the buildings.
Im modeling it after a few images I have, here’s one that kind of displays the lights that I’m trying to re-create.

That’s kind of what I was thinking, but I’m also wanting to add a small glow around these littles lights in after effects once I export this. How would I achieve this is the lights are textures?

You could render an object buffer for the buildings to isolate them, use a levels/curves effect to isolate the windows, and then add a glow effect.
