    Hey Creativecow,

I’m working on a project where I have to inflate and deflate some kind of rubber belt, which then deforms another object.

Is anybody able to give me a few hints how to tackle this animation?

I’m thinking about cloth animation, but I’m not sure if that will be too render intensive.

What other possibilities do I have in 11.5?

    regards, Matt

Cloth is not really render intensive. Just cache the simulation before rendering to assure your render matches the simulation in the view port.

Personally I would use morph tags and just model both objects the way I like them in each position.

    Hey Randy,

I never used morph tags, but after looking up the possibilities,
morph tags might be just what I need

    Thanks for the tip!
