  Engraving text into a gold bar…kinda

  I am trying to make a gold bar with text engraved into the top. How do I do that in Cinema4D. I have the gold bar I just need to know how to engrave the text into the gold bar itself. Thanks

  The usual way would be to put the text (black on white) in a material’s bump or displacement channel and map it to the top faces of the object. You could also use a boolean object to physically cut a text object out of the bar, but there’s no good way to chamfer the edges of the cut in that case.

  Hi there! I need to make a virtual image of a gold bar with a sentence engraved on it, could you please tell me if it’s possible for you to do this? Also please tell me how much it would cost me, thank you very much! : )
