Been teaching myself C4d, all going well, but…

Completely stuck trying to draw an irregular polygon with curves so i can extrude the shape into a 3d object with faces –

splines just give the outline – no faces.

Am i missing something? Pleeeease can someone help

    splines should work.
    What is the shape?

Its one of those curved decorative pediments you get above a doorway – ie not a simple shape.

Is there a button that turns splines into a polygon?

Draw the profile of it with a spline. Then use a sweep nurbs to get a mesh.
Sweep nurbs work really well for these you want to use your profile shape as the first spline in the sweeps and your path spline second.

Cool Done it. So i just have the outline of the shape and now fill in the hole with a rough polygon i guess.

Do you know if i can join the 3d objects together so that i can texture map it all as one piece?

If you make the sweep nurbs editable (c) then while in edge mode you could bridge the hole.
If you want to connect objects make sure they are editable then select what you want to connect and right click on them in the object manager. There is a “connect” option.
