  animating in a timeline

  Hello, i’m new to After Effects, so i obviously have many questions. Here’s my one for you.

  I have several layers that need to be animated, but in an ascending order, one right after the other.

  How do i go about doing this? do i need to add a keyframe right after the previous layer is done animating?
