I’m trying to make a logo fall from above, land on a surface, then crack into the final logo.

The logo already has a c*r*a*c*k*e*d up design. I have converted the letters into 3D editable objects.

I want to start with the text NOT c*r*a*c*k*e*d, so I may need a clean version of the logo from the artist.

Once the solid logo hits the ground and shatters something (via MoDynamics), I want to give the illusion that the impact was so great that the text c*r*a*c*k*s.

I’m a C4D novice, and am using Lynda.com’s new C4D 11.5 tutorials and various from around the web including here at Creative Cow.

So far I can get an object to hit another object and shatter (MoDynamics). I could use guidance for getting text from Illustrator (NOT created in C4) to crack AFTER hitting the ground.
