morphing objects in cinema 4d
Posted by Gon Perdigao on February 13, 2010 at 5:13 pmHi there can anyone link me to a tutorial that teach me how to morph objects in cinema 4D?
For example a chair into a subwoffer.
Thanks a lotStephan Helmhout replied 16 years, 3 months ago 3 Members · 2 Replies -

February 13, 2010 at 9:24 pmYou’re going to have some trouble morphing objects that are that disimilar. There are essentially three ways to do it:
1. Morph Tag (Mocca): this allows you to morph between multiple variations of the same object, but the underlying geometry must be the same (same point order). So you would have to take a mesh and model the chair, and then move the points around to model a subwoofer;
2. Thinking Particles>PBlurp: This essentially breaks up an object and reforms the fragments into a different object (see help file);
3. MoGraph: clone objects onto one object and then use the inheritance effector to move them to another object.

February 15, 2010 at 3:06 amI knew about the morphtag, but the other tips are just great advice, thanks. It’s all about illusion ofcourse. Or maybe you can do this with after effects. Love to morph!
