    Hi,

I am used to After Effects looking for its files from where the .aep file resides .

The c4d .aec files seems to be hardwired to look for renders in a specific spot.

    Anyway around this?

    Thanks,

    Russ

My guess would be that it is wholly dependent on the output path in C4D that is defined in your Save settings. You can “change” this after-the-fact by opening your project in After Effects and simply replacing your footage files with the proper images from the proper directories. Then, simply save your .aep project. This isn’t necessarily a method that will let you edit the .aec file, but it should suffice for what you need.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks. Was hoping there was a better way. Maybe Maxon will change things in the futre.

    Cheers
