    Hello everyone,

So here is the premise for what I’m attempting to accomplish. I have a rain cloud that is hanging out above a live action character. The character pulls out an umbrella, opens it up, and the cloud (created in cinema 4d) begins to emit tiny cubes that will bounce off of the umbrella and onto the ground around him. Here’s my problem. As of now, I can create rigid bodies using a solver object and gravity to create the blocks falling onto a sphere and bouncing off. I can also create an emitter to emit all of the falling cubes. The problem is that I cannot get the two to work hand in hand. Ideally I would like the emitter to emit cubes at a certain rate, then have the solver object take hold of them with gravity and drop them down onto the sphere below. Am I thinking about this in the wrong direction? Are there any hints for creating particles that will react with items in my scene? Any help would be much appreciated.

You should use Thinking Particles particles for this, or if you have MoGraph2, that would be the easiest way. I don’t think you can combine particles with the Dynamics module.
