Hello, can anyone tell me how can i return the data(say position data) of a clone within the cloner object, thru xpresso or any other way.
say, i put a cube inside a cloner object and made 20 clones, randomized the position with random effector and plain effector, now i want to constrain a text or spline to one particular clone, so how can i do it?
    many many thanks

    Hi Ryan,

You would use a MoGraph Data Node in Xpresso. So create the xpresso tag, drag the cloner in, create a data node, connect the two, create a position out port for the data node, drag in the object you want to bind to the clone, create a position in port, connect the latter two ports. Now the fun part…. Click on the data node and in the AM, start clicking through the index numbers until your object snaps to the clone you have in mind.

Too bad there’s no position out port for the MoGraph selection tag, right?

Hello Adam, thanks so much for your response, but it seems it bit too difficult for me, could you make a simple scene for me, so i can try to figure it out, if you don’t mind. anyway, still thanks.
    cheers
