I’ve created a hardback book in Cinema 4D 9 and I’m attempting to make the cover open by using a bone deformer. Everything looks like it’s working until I render it out, then I see that the surface material seems to be slipping along the front of the book.

The material is made with a noise bump map with cubic projection.

What could be causing this and how might I fix it?

You’ll have to add a “stick texture” tag to your geometry. If that doesn’t solve the problem then you’ll probably have to change the space your noise shader is using (e.g., from world space to texture space).

That worked perfectly! Thanks so much! Wow, how simple was that? How do I get my texture to stick? Add a Stick Texture tag. Bam.
