    Hello,

I have a question regarding some 3D text effect I am trying to recreate. Please take a look at this 3d type.
I have attempted to recreate this effect in c4d.
What I have done is added an arc spline and some text to a sweep nurbs. But I don’t feel I have the proper control to manipulate the text like in the aforementioned 3d type artpiece.

What I also tried was add a splinewrap to some text. And then add the arc spline in the splinewrap. This results in the text following the arc but not in the way I want.

What do you think? How would you do this?

Should I draw my own splines? Sofar I have tried to draw some splines freehand but when I added the sweep nurbs everything became to distorted. And as far as the arc spline go’s; I can only manipulate it to a very limited degree.

    Thank you.

Sweep nurbs are the answer to doing this. What do you mean by distortion? Can you post a pic?

The arc spline isn’t going to give you enough flexibility to create this effect. You’ll need to draw a path spline by hand.
