I’ve imported work paths created from text from photoshop into C4d. I’ve connected those paths into one path and then placed the new path into extrude nurbs. The problem I’m having is that only the outline of the text is extruded, not the full face of the text. I’d like to model using more than just the outline of the text but not sure how to make the other surfaces of the text extrude. Thanks in advance! j.

hmm.. extrude Nurbs should extrude the face too. Have you got ‘Caps’ selected in the extrude nurbs options?

It could be that your text splines are not constructed properly. Even if they look right, some vertices might not be joined properly.

Have you tested Extrude nurbs on a normal C4D spline or C4D text to make sure you are using it correctly?

I’ve never tried getting splines from photoshop to C4D. I normally use Illustrator, and so long as the splines are closed they import OK. But if it’s just a font I need, then I just use C4D to create the text spline out of any font you have installed.

–So, my guess is your spline is faulty
