Hey guys, this isn’t really a motion tracking question but the technique used is seen in many matchmoving vids. I would like to know how to do this in c4d:

I’ve got the motion tracking side of things done fine, but I was wandering how you would make the 3d elements appear as if they were intersecting a building / emerging from below the ground etc. – same concept. Would the best way to do this by creating a large boolean object such as a cube in place of the building that the visible 3d elements can emerge from? Or is there a better method?

Also, would you know how to cast shadows on an invisible object without having that object visible?

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance! Eugene
