    hey everyone-
i apologize if this isn’t the place to post this kind of thing (if not, a pointer in the right direction would be appreciated…)

i have a human figure with bones that’s been exported from DAZ 3d that i’m trying to animate a walk cycle for. it’s a deep sea diver, so the walk doesn’t have to be that dynamic- something suitably slow and heavy and lumbering.
i’ve animated the thing to about 80% of what it should look like… i just can’t seem to make it that last 20%… my figure moonwalks and slips all over the place. the problem is that the feet are at the end of the bone chain, and they can’t ‘drive’ the animation of the rest of the body. so my figure walks in place decently, but looks terrible moving through space.
and now i’m in the position where i have to get the damn thing done, and don’t have time to learn how from scratch.

would anyone want to throw in their skills to finish the animation, in exchange for either massive amounts of goodwill, or minimal amounts of money?
if so, you can reach me at cb**@*ac.com.
    thanks in advance!
    cheers
    brent

    Are you not using IK?

the model has a skeleton of bones that imported over from DAZ 3d… so it’s not using C4D’s IK tools (i don’t think), but it’s all boned up and moves appropriately.
i tried attaching IK tagged objects to it’s feet, but moving those around just ended up distorting the model.
    do you have any suggestions?
