  Linking additional Layers to a Parent

  I’ve created a comp in illustrator that I’ve brought into Afx as 10 or so layers. All of those layers are parented to a master layer (adjust one layer, all follow together).

  I added an additional layer in Illustrator and have imported it into Afx. How can I add that layer to my composition so that it is in alignment with all of the existing layers? If i plop on top, and parent, it uses that position as the base position.
