    Hi guys,

I’m new to C4D and was just making some small animations for my bachelor and came across this weird shadow flickering when GI is turned on. Unfortenately I don’t have R11 since I know that the GI-render module in R11 is better, I only have the R10.5 by now.

It’s a very simple animation with 2 lights (1x area, 1x spot) a sky and a floor, only 3 objects and one of them is animated. However the flickering is more visible on the static objects. Oh yeah and there is an animated camera of course.

I uploaded the project here: https://www.dinomuhic.com/temp/3D-Logo_01.zip if you want to take a look.
I alreay read that it’s possible to prevent the flickering with the Stochastik mode but it doesn’t look that nice with it, the floor is not reflecting it’s color at all in the Stochastik mode.

So which settings should I tweak to kill the flickering?

    Thanks a lot!

Your best bet is to bump up the quality setting, although it will result in substantially longer render times.
