I do scenic design for corporate events, and my renderings usually include a view of some percentage of a seated audience. I usually use “cutouts” sitting in 3D chairs, which, (as the audience is usually in a darkened room and the set is the focal point) is usually enough to to give a sense of scale to the image.

I have a couple of clients though who have been asking for “realer” looking people (apparently one of my competitors does this). I have tried using RPC people, as well as some low res 3d seated people (of which all seem to be designed for airports or bus stops, they all seem to have thier heads down) and as yet I have not found anything to use that will not give me the dreaded “out of memory” message.

Does anyone have a source for low res seated people, or an idea for a memory effecient solution?

    Many Thanks
