I’ve got a layer of text that I’ve extruded using Extrude Object. To that I’ve applied a material with Projection – Cubic and Side – Both. Now I’ve applied an Explosion Effect to it. For some reason the texture does not map to the paths. Its as if the paths are moving and the texture is stationary. It seems like it would just be a setting that I haven’t set correctly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanking everyone in advance, chris

Add a “stick texture” tag to the object.

Yes thank you! I found that shortly after I posted, but I’m still having trouble. I’ve got my original TEXT object in a null object. Above that is an EXTRUDE OBJECT. I’ve got an Explode FX on the same level as the EXTRUDE OBJECT. And above everything, is another NULL OBJECT. I’ve got the material as Flat (although I’ve tried both Frontal and Cubic as well) I’ve tried placing the texture and the tag on all three layers. Seems like there is a magical combination I have not found yet. Any ideas? Thanks. chris

Yes. I think I sort of figured it out. I had the EXtrude Nurbs set to hierarchial. I broke my project to the minimum, and it did work. Now I’ve got to rebuild from the base path on up. Thanks a lot for all your help. c

It should work if you put the material and the stick texture tag on the Extrude nurbs object.
