  problem using my c4d scenes in after effects

  hi i cannot seem to get my after effects comps that i have exported
  from c4d to open in after effects the program does not seem to recognize them. I took the AE plugin that came with c4d and put in in my AE plug ins folder, still doesnt work, what am i doing wrong?
