  • MoGraph: Cloning only a part of a plane

    Hi!
I’m trying to clone some cubes on a plane, but the plane must be very big so I was wondering: Is it possible to restrict the cloning to a certain space/object? The cubes are only visible through the effectors, so it seams to be a waste of rendering time to always generate >200.000 cubes, if only about 50-100 are visible at a time.

I was thinking I could achieve it with xpresso, but I didn’t get very far. 🙁

    Thanks alot for any help!

If you convert the plane to polygons you can restrict clones to a poly selection. In the alternative you could just clone onto a smaller plane and make the plane itself invisible.
