  • C4D and Photoshop Extended..

I know you have to Export a model as a 3ds to import the 3d model into the new Photoshop Extended, but I’m not getting the texture layer within Photoshop to manipulate.

I’ve applied a simple material in C4d (8.5) and exported and can move it all around, change lights etc but I haven’t figured out how to get the material to show up as a texture layer in PSCS3 extended.

    Anybody have a tip?

Criminy. I had not imported an image to the material. That’s how you can rework and map 2d artwork to a model in PSCS3.

However, what if I had only a shader/material in C4d and no imported images… I wonder if there is a way to make that show up as a layer?

So.. first question, answered.. which lead to the 2nd…thanks

You could bake the texture, which turns it into an image
