    Hey there,

I’m currently messing around with c4d R10, haven’t used any other 3D program before.

    1. Is there a chance to create render output presets?
For example a setting for hd with a resoultion of 960 x 720 and a aspect ratio of 1,3?

    2. When I use explode FX to “model” a building (easy way to make it look broken) I get performance issues.
I thought about “reducing” the object to a single mesh, but the only option that I can find is the “current state to object”

Is there a way to “shrink” the model to save render time?

    with kind regards

You can save render presets in the render settings dialogue: File>Save Render Preset :).

I’m not sure what your asking in the second question. If you want to bake the Explosion deformer, I don’t think that’s possible. If you want to combine all the parts of your building into one object, you can do that.

First, all parts have to be polygon objects, so if you parametric objects you need to make them editable. Then select all the parts and run the Structure>Connect command. That will create a new object that contains all your parts (leaving the unconnected object as well).

One caveat: connecting may cause you problems if the various parts have different materials assigned to them.
