foreground object+alpha video display
i’m trying to put a video+alpha of a person walking across screen into a foreground object and then build/position a scene behind. i can’t figure out how to make the video display when you move on the timeline. it will display the correct frame when you render at any point on the timeline but doesn’t show in preview. if you assign the same material+alpha vid to a background object or a plane it shows and updates in real time correctly as you drag on the timeline, but nothing shows on foreground object until you render it. is this a limitation of the foreground object or am i doing something wrong?
i always want the video+alpha in front of the scene and unaffected by camera position so it seems like the foreground object is a good way to do it. just wondering, how does everyone handle this kind of situation?
