Greetings exalted After Effects users!
I am working on an effect and have run dry of ideas. I need to create an audio waveform that shows the audio as waves and also writes out text in the same path as the waveform. I have tried and gone through all the Trapcode plugins, the standard AE plugins and variations with masks and other asundry tricks and such. I have a few things that look decent using a combination of Trapcode From and also audio spectrum, but it still doesn’t look right. I was wondering if anyone out there had any ideas.

There’s a few tutorials which show you how to create the waveform effects with particle plugins and sync them to audio but I don’t know about making the text follow the same paths. Check the tutorials for Aharon Rabinowitz’s tutorial on the subject, it’s fairly involved but he explains it very clearly and simply.
