    hey there,
new here and to C4D…so i downloaded some textures and bump maps, and im trying to put them as flooring and wall textures. (ex. Marble floor, stucco walls) it seem as the texture scale is really big, is there a way to scale the textures down so they look believable? Meaning, can i lay down a textre of black and white bathroom tiles on a floor or plane and have each tile be around 2″x2″?
again, i am very new at this, so im sorry if this makes no sense.
any help would be much appriciated!
    thanks,
    evilone

easiest way is to go into the Material Tag’s tag properties and change Tiles X and Tiles Y to be larger (more tiles (repetitions) across the object)

ok, so im confused, (sorry) materials pref.? i figured out how to scale the floor material, because it is infinite. but that doesent work if i drop a material on a wall or cube or whatever…where is the materials tag pref?

    thanks for bearing with me!

not prefs – properties. Click on the material tag and the Attributes Manager (lower right if default) will show the properties (attributes) of the tag (because you clicked on it). Click on the Tag tab there (you should not have to it should be selected by default) then change the tiles.
