hi all, i have had a hair pulling session with some problems i have been having whilst using motion blur in preview,

It seems to be changing the layer order and transparency in preview,

here are some images that I have uploaded to illustrate the problem, bare in mind all the transfer modes are set to normal and all the opacitys are at 100%

anyone care to shine some light on this? I hope its a setting somewhere or is this just another of AE’s little things that it seems to do from time to time.

    Cheers guys!

edit: it doesnt just do it in preview it does it on output as well!

ok so i managed to figure it out,

all the layers i am using are vectors and the little bubbles that were causing the headache were vectors in precomps (due to animation needs)

i hadnt turned on the “continuous rasterise” button on the lower layer and some of the motion blurs on the layers in the pre-comps werent turned on either.

Still dont see how this would affect what looks like a z-depth issue but ah well, hope my ramblings might help someone else out in future…
