I have some models that have some surface normals flipped. Instead of flipping the normals over, our 3D Studio MAX guy simply applies a “double-sided texture” to fix the problem in his program. Is there such a thing in C4D? Thanks!

By default all materials in C4D are applied as doublesided, so no need to worry. Still, sounds like a rather sloppy workflow to not take care of proper normal orientation. Might cause any number of problems from rendering artifacts to incorrect distortions if you deform your objects. I’d at least try to use the Align Normals functions in both programs to minimize that risk.
