I’d like to BEND a large spline that has smaller splines (attached to the larger splines points using expressions). If I use a deformer on the main spline all my expressions are disconnected and the smaller splines wind up off the spline. Any idea how to do this? Also my smaller splines are actually CLONEs.

    Using Cinema 4D 9 –

Large spline is not grouped with anything else, if I group it with the smaller splines and BEND, it goes all out of wack.

I think you will have to do it all with XPresso and not use any deformers at all. This seems to be one of those classical world coordinates vs. local coordinates things, which C4D does not handle in a clean manner. For a bend on your main spline, you’d simply use sinus and cosinus multiplied by an incremental factor for each point.

Have you tried using the Deformer on an Instance of your “xpresso” object?
