I have used MSA for quite some time and I can see that MOGRAPH kind of takes the place of many functions MSA used to provide.

However, I can’t seem to find a way to make arrows (or other flexible objects) follow and deform around a spline. Is it there and am I just missing it?

Also, most of my plugins from v.9 don’t show up in v.10. Shall I assume they are useless? There were a couple of great ones in there that I can no longer use.

    Thanks

The Spline Wrap object is what you’re looking for. It’s easier than MSA because you don’t need an extra FFD deformer.

Thanks Adam. Yesterday I was able (very easily in fact) to get a whole bunch of arrows to follow a spline and bend along it. Unfortunately I was just experimenting and playing and didn’t save the file.

Today I am trying and can’t get it to work at all. I’ve got a Spline Wrap inside my arrow. Using the offset it works beautifully. Now I want a whole bunch of arrows to do this. I drop my Arrow (with the child Spline Wrap) into a cloner with a Spline Effector on it and every thing goes haywire. The arrows are flying in all different directions… not along the spline.

I have been trying all the permutions of different settings in both the Spline Wrap Parameter and the Spline Effector and can’t get it to work.

Banging my head against the wall isn’t helping either!

    Any thoughts?

    TAK
