    Hi all.

Can anyone point me in a direction of a tutorial, or a clue, about a good way to do this?

I’m hoping to do it somewhat realistically, with fragments and chunks, not individual polygons, like you would with the Shatter deformer.

Thanks for any and all help.

    Try the Explosion FX deformer.

If you want realism, build a model and blow it up. Complement this with additional stuff you shoot with a real camera (debris, fire, dust clouds) and put everything together in compositing. ;o) If you mean realistic as in “I have no time and budget and need to do it in C4D”, the explosion deformer is a good plce to start. Also figure in Thinking Particles (PShatter) and the Dynamics module (or PhyTools, respectively).
