    hi all
this is my first post to this forum.
i recently started teaching myself c4d. i’ve been using after effects for six years now, and i’ve hit the proverbial wall with what it can do versus what i wish i could do with it.

anyway, here’s the problem. bear with me if this is a bonehead simple thing to do and i just haven’t discovered it yet.

i know how to take X number of primitives, or other objects, and distribute them along a spline. but what i want to do is then animate them distributing along the spline. once i’ve duplicated the objects along my spline, i can’t seem to find a way to animate their distribution with keyframes.

is this even possible in c4d? i know how to do it in AE, with a ton of expression scripting, but not in c4d.
if this is possible, could some c4d ninjamaster nudge me down the right path?

    thanks in advance

it could be done with xpresso. There is also a plugin (MSA) which would do it. There are probably more ways too.

Like Brian said, MSA is your easiest and cheapest way to get that. MoGraph and Thinking particles can do it as well as could XPresso or COFFEE.

Yep. MoGraph is far and away the easiest, most flexible way to do it.
