Problematic modeling question…
The Plea:
I am trying to create a photo-real name badge for a vehicle where there appears to be a 2D logo, presumably printed on a flat surface and then covered with a clear plastic shell. My camera is going to start on the surface of the name badge, zoom out approximately 6 feet and then, in conjunction with the camera move the logo will pan off the screen. The Problem:
I cannot seem to get the refraction right for the edges of the clear plastic badge covering. From the front it should be flawless and easily viewed, but as we shift off axis there should be some aberration and a bit of logo distortion that I cannot seem to get.The Spot:
For the record, the shot starts very tight on the logo of a 1956 Porsche 365a hood, zooms past a few new Porsche models on the showroom floor, then passed a few people in the showroom as the dealer hands them the keys and finally out through the window of the showroom where we then see that the first logo as well as all of the other cars and people in the showroom are encapsulated inside of another Porsche logo on the exterior of a building. The closing shot has the logo on the outside of the showroom slowly receding as the entire showroom disappears. It should be a terrific shot…if I can get this damned plastic-type logo cover thing right. Thanks all…
