  • looping position keyframes in space with mocap….help!

    hey there-
i’ve got a mocap file of a person running x distance for 120 frames. i’ve looped the body action so that it now lasts 604 frames, so that’s working. the only thing i can’t figure out is how to make the figure actually run farther. the ‘hips’ have a bobbing up-and-down motion (as defined by a ‘position’ track) as they move the distance x through space… i want to keep that motion looping, but make him run 4 times farther.
if i copy and paste the keyframes, he just keeps running the same track.
how do i make this sine wave of position keyframes continue through space?
    thanks!

Find the parent bone of the skeleton that is controlling all of the other bones spatial positiion and adjust that bone the distance you want to move the character, but since your looping you will have seperate out that track so that the characters spatial position is no longer looping, and you control that.

here’s what I did… first, determine the distance traveled times the amount of loops. assuming the mocap moves in Z, delete all the z pos keyframes. Put that hip bone in a null and move it the sum of the z move
