Hi all, I’m new to this forum as well as C4D. I’ve recently just had the opportunity to dive into it though, guns blazing(!) and I love it. I started out with ploughing my way through the 9.1 handbook and all it’s tutes. extremely easy going and good book! anyway, it left me quite able to move around inside cinema, however here comes two questions that i hope someone easily will be able to help me with 🙂
first; i’ve found that one can animate a texture to wipe onto a surface through animating the alpha channel inside the material… is this the only way? or is there an other way to do it through the object manager? would someone possibly know a tutorial describing this as I’ve just trial/errored it out.

second, here’s the big one: i tried to follow a huge xpresso tute from maxon dealing with the PStorm node and a way of pouring particles out of a bucket. now i hoped this tute would help me to achieve my goal straight on but it didn’t quite and it’s way to compex for me to tweak to my needs at this point. what i would like to do is to pour an (invisible)jar of coins, so that they fall and pile up on a surface, though (as opposed to the PStorm tute) keep sliding and bouncing off each other until end of animation, some might even fall of the landing-surface and keep falling, like off a table… wow i realise that this might not be achieved in five minutes, but any pointers in how i should apply myself to get there would be greatly appreciated. sorry for the long post and the many questions and thanks so much in advance for any advice! 🙂 /d

cheers for that! took me a sec before i realised i had to double click the tag to get properties! 😮 if you have any pointers to which settings i should be playing with to simulate coin falling on table that’d be super, otherwise, still ever so grateful for a cool link! 🙂 thanks/d
