Where would I find the best flash/video tutorials for C4D (latest version)? I want to really learn to model with smooth surfaces with a minimum poly count. When I use hypernurbs, which I love, my file grows enormous in size. Another question for the masters, if I were creating a simple pipe like object and wanted to have a mounting bracket on the side, a bolting surface, how do I extrude from a simple pipe structure something that looks like it was part of the casting of that part? Make sense?

I think the tutorials would explain this objective. Also, any texturing and other tutorial references regarding C4D would be most helpful.

    Thank you,

    Dave Montague

There are some very good commercial DVD’s from 3DFluff.com

For free tutorials, check out c4dportal.com and c4dcafe.com

I especially recommend “www.c4dcafe.com” that Adam mentioned. They have over 70 free (Flash-based) video tutorials for download. If you’re looking to learn Bodypaint at some point, C4DCafe is about to release a DVD with 15 hours of training for Bodypaint. Which at $50.00 USD ($10 shipping) is a steal in my book.
