    Hi…

I am trying to “blow up” a group of rectangle primatives that I’ve grouped into a null and textured to look like a brick wall. I have tried using the Explosion FX deformer, but for the life of me, I cannot get it to do what I want (it either looks like a wave where all the bricks act exactly the same or they end up blowing away and reforming). Are there any good tutorials out there or plugins I can use?

    Thank you in advance,
    Ken

It depends what you like to achieve.
It’s all about trying what you like best,
this is a fairly complex Deformer.
I have found that fairly high settings
in BlastTime- and -Range look fairly
    good for me.
I mostly prefer the Explosion Deformation anyway,
    easy and effective.
    Sorry, not much help.

    Cheers

I just did a little test with the Explosion FX Deformer.
If you like you can dowload the file “ExplosionFXTest.c4d” from my iDisk.
