Activity Forums Maxon Cinema 4D .3ds in C4D? please?

    i’ve got the entire library of de espona 3d models for a project… but they’re all .3ds format.
    c4d opens .3ds just fine, only everything turns to low-poly origami garbage.
    any way to open them and keep all the fine detail?

    They should come in fine, assuming the files are okay to begin with. The old maxim applies: sh*t in, sh*t out.

    Make sure that the objects have Phong tags and that “angle limit” is checked. Also make sure the points are welded (run Function>Optimize).
