  Enter the editing field

  hello sir

  i am intrested to do editing job.i dont know the way how to enter in to editing field, i have completed my bachelors degree.i know FINAL CUT PRO,FINAL CUT PRO STUDIO,AVID,PREMIERE.I WAnt to do MASTERS course in editing field at uk. which type of course i need to study.

  I’ve found that experience is worth a lot more then a masters degree, unless you want to teach. I would focus on getting a job. This would be a great question for the Art of the Edit forum.

  Get an entry level job at a local post and go from there. Come in early, go home late and hang out in the editing bays as much as you can (as long as it doesn’t interfere w/your job duties of course). As Stephen said, post graduate work is really only worthwhile if you plan to teach. Diplomas don’t carry very much weight in this line of work.
