Colour Replace function
Hi guys,
I have a problem. I am designing a football app and need to have 5 different color shirts with 5 different color stripes.
i have managed to tint the shirt, but how would i isolate the black (gaffer tape) on the shirt and change it to say blue.
In photoshop there is a color replace function, but is there one in after effects?

thanks for the reply. . . was trying to avoid masking, I have 5 or 6 different shirt types and three different body sizes 🙁
If i was to do this again what colours would be best?
I thought maybe shirt white and stripes red?

Hey dave,
I actually worked it out 🙂 I shot white shirts on a green screen, with black gloves. I then comped on some illustrated patterns at 90% opacity, with a bit of turbulence distortion.

I’m fairly new to After Effects. I’m trying to replace the color of a sink cloth that is the wrong color. I don’t know how to even begin.

When you’re out on a shoot, and you say, “we’ll fix this in post” without knowing PRECISELY HOW you’re going to fix it in post, don’t shoot it! You’ll only end up shooting it over again.

We recently shot a whole room of green screen monitors, and crossing actors – camera on a CineSlider – with the “idea” of using Mocha to planar track each screen, and key in the video that was supposed to be playing…
Well, after crossing elements and lighting variances wound up shooting that idea in the foot, it was a week of old fashion rotoscope/motion masks to get the effect.
Ah… hind sight is 20/20 in production.Cheers,
