  Mysql Database Dump

  how do you create a dump of an sql database, i need to add a feature for database backup in the backend of a system am building, I dont want the CLI version of doing it or using PHPMYADMIN

  found the answer to my problem, here it is: use the php function exec(), to run the mysqldump command, thus exec(mysqldump –user=username –pass=password –host=hostname DB_NAME > path/to/place/mydb.sql)
