I’m designing a website using Dreamweaver and wish to set a link on a page that returns the user to a previous page, however, on the previous page I wish to specify what absolute positioned element with a z-index not of 1 the page displays when returned to by clicking the link?

    You can use PHP.

Send a variable with the link and change any code in your page depending on that variable.
