  three versions of AfterFX.exe in TaskManager?

  hey Cow Users.
  I have been using the new AE cs3 master collection. I have found an issues and i wanted to know if every one else is have the same problem. if i run AE and open up task manager i find that there are three version of the process AfterFX.exe runing? I’m on PC version of AE. also doesnt any one know which Adobe master collection operation can be blocked to help with performance issues.

  Do you have multiprocessing enabled?

  yea i found that after i turned off multi processor the versions when away. what is really strange is that it runs better when it is off? but then again i have a old POS pc that is hyper threaded… so crap… but thanks.

  if you can get some more memory you can turn it back on and sit back and grin as it goes faster 😉

  i think it wants 2 gigs / cpu/core .. but 512m is the minimum i believe.. so if you have a 2 core 1 gig system you might wanna upgrade your memory.

  I’m sitting at 2 gigs of ram and a dual core 1.8ghz… with multiproc enabled i did a 7.5 min render in about 4.25 min 🙂 very happy – and looking forward to more memory 🙂
