Make text description appear
I’ve designed a few websites but am not an experienced web designer. I’ve done some javascript & DHTML stuff but most of it has been created from tutorials where you can copy/paste the code…and/or through experimentation.
I’ve created a video player page for our video portfolio that will use javascript to call videos into a Flash Player (JWPlayer). What I’d like to do is have a text description appear above the player when the video is loaded into the player.
Here’s a very rough layout.

The links are programmed into the image thumbnails below the player, (they work) and I’d like for the text description to appear on the white/gray banner above and to the right of the video (white text). The left column menus don’t work and they’ll eventually use DHTML so what’s there is just a visual placeholder.
Is it possible to do the text description action using javascript??
Thanks for any help here. If someone could point me in the right direction I can figure the coding out. I’ve just come up empty doing searches for this…likely because I don’t know what to call it.
Thanks
